KfW infrastructure projects continue in Georgia

Friday, September 19
Georgian Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Davit Shavliashvili met with the representatives of KfW Development Bank.

The sides discussed the infrastructure projects financed by KfW and outlined the plans for the future, the ministry told Trend on Sept. 17.

They also went over plans for the integration of "Waters of Adjara" company with "United Water Supply Company of Georgia".

“This process will not hamper the projects for the rehabilitation of the water supply system of Adjara, financed by KfW,” Shavliashvili added.

On the contrary, the experience will be exchanged and the staff retraining process will begin.

The German side has presented its vision of waste management and made several recommendations in this area. This trend in Georgia is being developed rapidly and progressively, the representatives of Germany said.

It should be stressed that KfW will soon begin a feasibility study in Samegrelo and Kakheti to create modern landfills there.

The next meeting of the sides will be held in Germany. (Trend.az)
