Georgian-Russian border checkpoint to be closed due to landslide danger
Tuesday, September 30

Speaking to reporters, Shavliashvili said that heavy rainfalls are expected.
“Despite the fact that the forecasts predict no landslides, there is a risk that large rock masses can start moving. Our representatives and representatives of other agencies are on the site and control the movement of the masses,” he said.
“Most likely, we will close the customs at night for security reasons, and then we will see how the weather changes,” he said.
Forecasts say that in the coming day the weather conditions will sharply deteriorate on the territory of Georgia.
