2 billion USD to be spent on Shah Deniz project in Georgia

Shah Deniz Stage 2, or Full Field Development (FFD) is a giant project that will add a further 16 billion cubic meters per year (bcma) of gas production to the approximately 9 bcma produced by Shah Deniz Stage 1

Georgian PM Irakli Gharibashvili stated that the works related to the second phase of Shah Deniz project are currently on in Georgia. Poti Port has already received the first set of the pipes to be installed on Georgian territory of pipeline.

“I was in Baku, to participate in the ceremony of the ground-breaking, when the first pipe was installed,” PM said and added that that Azerbaijan is a very important neighbor and a strategic partner and the two countries plan to stay in permanent cooperation.
