Combined Patrolling in the Village Qal-Eh Ye Nasro

The soldiers of the 51st battalion of 5th Infantry Brigade carried out infantry patrolling in the province of Parvan, Afghanistan. The Georgian soldiers performed reconnaissance from the village Qal-EhYe Nastro to the direction of Bagram Air Base aimed at limiting indirect fire and preventing the free movement of insurgents.

While patrolling the Alpha Company soldiers talked with the locals and received information about the existing situation on the ground.

The U.S. marines and Afghan National Security Forces participated in the combined patrolling together with the Georgian soldiers. Sergeant Major of Bagram Air Base, Christopher Gilpin involved in the mission as well.

The 51st Battalion of V Infantry Brigade of the Georgian Armed Forces carries out “Resolute Support” mission on Bagram Air Base. Their main task is to provide security of the base.
