Two Georgian military cadets killed in a car crash

Cadets Besarion Gorjoladze and Soso Makaridze were killed in a car crash in the US state of New Jersey on March 7.
The cadets were graduates from Davit Agmashenebeli National Defense Academy of Georgia and were studying at the United States Coast Guard Academy.
Private Soso Makaridze was a fourth-year student of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. He had been studying there since 2011. A second-year cadet, Private Besarion Gorjoladze entered the Coast Guard Academy in 2013.
“Both were Georgian patriots committed to advancing their nation's security and had been selected by the Georgian Armed Forces to receive coast guard education in the United States. The United States Embassy extends its deepest sympathies to the families, friends, and military colleagues of Cadets Gorjoladze and Makaridze at this trying time.” The U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi said in its official statement.
