Defence Minister Attended Photo Exhibition in NATO HQ

The Minister of Defence of Georgia Tinatin Khidasheli attended a photo exhibition on gender issues in the framework of her visit to Brussels. Photo exhibition “Gender Integration in the Georgian Armed Forces” was held in NATO HQ at the initiative of NATO Secretary General’s Special Representative for Women, Peace and Security, Ambassador Marriet Schuurman. She hosted the Georgian Defence Minister at the photo stand and discussed the role of women in security sphere. The sides agreed on intensive cooperation in the future.
A photo exhibition was opened on May 28 within the frames of the annual conference organized by the NATO Committee on Gender Perspective. Photos depicting the women in the Georgian Armed Forces will be exhibited in the NATO HQ during a week.
