Geostat: Annual Inflation 3.5% in May

Georgia’s annual inflation stood at 3.5% in May, after 2.5% in April, according to the state statistics office Geostat.
On a monthly basis, inflation was at 0.6% in May.
Prices on alcoholic beverages and cigarettes increased by 11.9% year-on-year in May. Prices on food and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 3.9%. Prices for outpatient care rose 4.9% y/y in May and for inpatient services increased by 3.7%.
Prices in transport group were down by 3.2% in May, compared to the same month of last year. (Civil.ge)
