UK Gift to Georgian Wounded Warriors

Georgian wounded warriors received a gift on behalf of the Ministry of Defence of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The crew of the newly-purchased British Military Aircraft – A400M Atlas brought sports equipment for sitting volleyball at the VIP terminal of Tbilisi International Airport.

The UK Defence Attache, LTC Nick Wilkes, handed the gift to the wounded Georgian warriors.

The Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the GAF, Colonel Omar Begoidze, MoD representatives and Georgian soldiers wounded in combat, as well as the Defence Attaches of NATO member countries accredited to Georgia, all attended the event.

Later on, the A400M Atlas aircraft presentation and reception was held for the invited guests at Tbilisi International Airport. A photo exhibition that depicted the various activities of the Georgian wounded warriors was displayed at the event as well.
