High-class artists’ shows will be held all through Georgia from April. The information was confirmed by the Prime Minister (PM) of Georgia, Giorgi Kvirikashvili.
According to the PM, the government will allocate resources for cultural activities.
“We discussed this issue simply because it is aimed to promote tourism in our country. We will fund a series of performances which include the performances of top world class artists. Those events will make Georgia an important cultural center of the region,” stated Kvirikashvili.
The Minister of Culture and Monumental Protection of Georgia, Mikheil Giorgadze, said that ticket price on the events will be symbolic.
According to Giorgadze, Georgia is a unique country in the region.
“These kinds of events simply cannot be held in regions of the country. There are different reasons for that, such as the lack of technical equipment. The tickets will have a symbolic price,” stated Giorgadze.
According to him, Georgian artists will also participate in the events.
“All those performances will be followed by the international media. This will be beneficial for both Georgian artists and the country itself,” stressed Giorgadze.
As the minister said, the format of the show will be chosen by the demands of the artists.
“However, most of the events will be held in the open air so that more people had access to the shows,” stated Giorgadze.
The Minister underlined the factor of security.
“When we talk about foreign celebrities, they first of all ask for security; not only for themselves, but for the audience as well. That is why all the most exclusive performances will not be held in the open air. However, we will make sure that the ticket prices will be low so that everyone has opportunity to attend,” stated Giorgadze.
