International Conference on Promoting CSR in Georgia to be held in Tbilisi

The international two-day conference on “Promoting Corporate Social Responsibility in Georgia” will be held on April 22-23 in the Tbilisi Marriott hotel. The event is organised by the Civil Development Agency, the Global Compact Network Georgia and the Human Rights Secretariat of the Administration of the Government of Georgia. Approximately 100 Georgian and foreign delegates will participate in the event. The invited foreign speakers at the conference include: Corporate Sustainability and Business Ethics Experts from the Headquarters of Ericsson and TeliSonera Group, Chief of Local Networks at the United Nations Global Compact, New York office, a delegation from the Global Compact Network Poland and OECD Responsible Business Conduct Policy Analyst. The conference will touch upon issues such as international standards on corporate sustainability, international and Georgian practices in the field and future perspectives for the development of corporate social responsibility in Georgia. The Global Compact Network Georgia will be established within the framework of the Conference. The conference is supported by the East-West Management Institute’s (EWMI) ACCESS project though USAID funding. The partners of the event are the United Nations Global Compact and the American Chamber of Commerce in Georgia.
