President to lead delegation

President Giorgi Margvelashvili will lead the Georgian delegation to the Warsaw Summit, which will be held on July 8-9.
The information was confirmed by the National Security Council Secretary, Irina Imerlishvili.
According to her, one of the main issues at the Security Council session, which was called by President Margvelashvili, will be a discussion of the Warsaw Summit.
"The Georgian delegation to the Warsaw Summit, which will be held in early July, will be headed by President Margvelashvili. Preparations for the upcoming visit are already underway. In addition, before the summit, the National Security Council session will be convened, since the main issue is security,” stated Imerlishvili.
According to her, during the National Security Council session, the incident that took place in Khurcha will be discussed.
“At the National Security Council session, the incident that took place in Khurcha will be discussed, along with the situation in the region and other security topics,” stated Imerlishvili.
An unarmed, 31 year-old citizen of Georgia, Giga Otkhozoria, was fatally gunned down by Russian border guards in Georgian-controlled territory in the village of Khurcha, close to the Nabakevi Crossing Point on the Administrative Boundary Line (ABL).
According to the National Security Council Secretary, the President already attracted world leaders' attention to the issue.
“President Margvelashvili raised this topic during his visit to Turkey. The issue is very sensitive and deserves worldwide attention,” stated Imerlishvili.
