CSR Week in Tbilisi

From June 30 to July 9, CSR Week is being held in Tbilisi. Within the week, a number of training exercises, masterclasses and informative meetings will take place on different topics which all relate to modern Corporate Social Responsibility in the World and in Georgia.
Events that are planned within the Week:
July 6 – Meeting “Problems of the Persons with Disabilities in Georgia and the Role of the Corporate Social Responsibility”
July 7 - Public Lecture “Modern Social Responsibility and Practices in Georgia”
July 7 - Meeting “Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs)”
July 8 - Meeting – “CSR Agenda in Georgia”
July 9 - CSR Club General Meeting
Prior to those events, two days of training were held in the framework of the CSR Week for private sector representatives organized by UN Women in collaboration with the UN Global Compact Local Network. The first day of the training touched upon the implementation of the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs). The second day was devoted to reporting to the UN Global Compact (UNGC) on the 10 UNGC Principles as well as WEPs.
The Corporate Social Responsibility Club is an informal union established on the initiative of the PR and Marketing Communications Company Gepra and Non-Governmental Organization CiDA on May 27, 2015. CSR Club aims to improve social welfare through promoting the practice of corporate social responsibility; make collaborative effort in development of CSR standards; mobilize resources to help vulnerable groups and to support different interested organizations; protect interests and lobbying of organizations with high social responsibility.
The activities of CiDA related to the promotion of corporate social responsibility in Georgia are supported by the East-West Management Institute, within the framework of ACCESS project.
