Friday, August 12
The Government of Adjara is trying to attract Iranian investment in the region. Zurab Pataradze, chairman of the Government of Adjara, has already met with the General Consul of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hossein Mashhad, and discussed trade-economic cooperation issues.
Business forums are scheduled in the region, especially concerning agriculture in the mountainous parts of Adjara, the attraction of Iranian businessmen, the introduction of new innovative projects, and the establishment of joint stock companies.
“It is important for us to have cultural, humanitarian, trade and touristic cooperation with Iran, which is a country with a great culture and civilization. I think the cooperation that exists between us will be more productive and further extended,” Zurab Pataradze noted.
Iran is one of the most prominent markets for Ajara. It should be noted that visitors from Iran have significantly increased after the restoration of the Visa free regime. (Caucasus Business Week)
