Russia proposes lift of murrain-related ban on some imports from Armenia

On Monday, Armen Hayrapetyan, head of the State Service for Food Safety (SSFS) of Armenia, had a working meeting in Moscow with Sergei Dankvert, Director of Rosselkhoznadzor (Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of the Russian Federation).

Hayrapetyan briefed his Russian colleague on the murrain-related veterinarian measures that are successfully being implemented in Armenia, and therefore proposed Rosselkhoznadzor to lift its respective temporary ban on the imports of some animals, meat, and raw materials of animal origin from Armenia, SSFS informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The interlocutors also discussed the activities toward ensuring a new level of biological safety and food safety in Armenia. (News. am)
