Geostat: Annual Inflation 0.2% in November

Georgia’s annual inflation stood at 0.2% in November after 0.2% deflation in October, the state statistics office, Geostat, said on Friday.
On a monthly basis prices were up 0.6% in November.
Prices in the group of alcoholic beverages and cigarettes rose by 10.5% year-on-year in November, caused mostly by increase of excise tax on tobacco and alcohol products.
Prices on communication services increased by 3.9% y/y; hotels and restaurants services – by 3.2% y/y and healthcare group – by 1.5% y/y.
Prices in the transport group were down by 3.7% y/y in November. Prices on clothing and footwear dipped by 5.6% y/y and prices on furniture, household appliances and equipment were down by 3.4% y/y.
Prices on food and non-alcoholic beverages were down by 0.1% y/y.
