Monday, March 20
International air travellers have named Tbilisi Shota Rustaveli International Airport as one of the best in Eastern Europe in 2017.

The airport, which serves the capital of Georgia, was recognised as being among the top 10 airports in Eastern Europe by the World Airport Awards for the fourth year in a row.

The awards are regarded as the most prestigious accolades for the airport industry and the result was calculated by passenger voting in the largest annual airport customer service survey conducted by Skytrax.

The top 10 airports include international Airports of Budapest, Tallinn, Kiev-Boryspil, Riga, Belgrade, Tbilisi, Sofia, Bratislava, Bucharest and Skopje.

The World Airport Awards are based on 13 million customer nominations across 106 nationalities of air travellers and included 550 airports worldwide.

The survey evaluates customer satisfaction across 39 key performance indicators for airport service and product.
