Strong wind causes problems in Georgia

Strong wind, that reached the indicator of a storm in Georgia, caused many problems throughout the country.
The Emergency Management Agency reports that several hundred calls were received on early Tuesday due to extensive wind. Luckily nobody has been hurt by the wind.
“We continue working in the emergency regime until the weather improves.” Davit Gelashvili, deputy Head of Tbilisi Emergency Service stated.
The strong wind uprooted several trees in the capital, which fell on the houses and vehicles. The wind damaged billboards and roofs of several buildings.
The strong wind affected the regions as well. It damaged roofs of the apartment buildings in the town of Gori.
Rescue workers, as well as representatives of the Gori City Hall, were mobilized at the scene of the accidents to help the affected people.
Several buildings and electricity lines were also damaged in Rustavi, as well as in other places and left hundreds of families without power. The wind also caused delayed some flights.
The State Meteorological Center says the wind will calm down and predict more stable weather from Wednesday.
“From March 23 the temperature will rise and it will reach around 18 degrees Celsius,” Meteorologist Dodo Gvazava said.
Strong wind started on Monday afternoon and in the evening its maximum speed claim to 32m/sec, which is around 116 kilometers an hour.
The state authorities promised the volume of the loss will be calculated by a special commission, after which restoration works will start.
