Monday, June 26
293 internally displaced families from the Russian occupied regions of Georgia – Abkhazia and Tskhinvali (South Ossetia) have received village houses with plots of land to produce their own agricultural products in Kvemo Kartli.

The Ministry of IDPs has bought village houses for more than 1,500 IDP families since 2013 including these 293 families within ‘A House in the Village’ project.

Visiting the families today, Sozar Subari, Georgian Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Accommodation and Refugees of Georgia, said the "A House in the Village” project is working very well.

The IDPs families have the opportunity to choose the houses worth 17,000-31,000 GEL in different parts of Georgia according to their preferences and move to their own new apartments.
