Georgia appoints consul for Bavaria and Baden-Wurttemberg

Tuesday, August 8
From September 1 this year Georgia will have a consul in Bavaria and Baden-Wurttemberg in Germany, as the number of Georgians living there is larger than in other parts of the country.

“Georgia’s Foreign Ministry made the decision taking the number of the Georgian people living in the two locations into account,” Georgia’s Foreign Ministry reported.

The new consul for the two areas Zakaria Megrelishvili will be housed in Munich, at the consulate acting under Georgia’s honorable consul.

Georgia’s Ambassador to Germany, Lado Chanturia, has already introduced the new consul with the honorable consul of Georgia and the head of the Georgian diaspora in Munich.
