National Tourism Administration to Develop Marketing Strategy for Imereti and Kakheti

Working on marketing strategy for raising tourism awareness of Kakheti and Imereti regions will start sponsored by the World Bank.

New Marketing Strategy and Image websites of Kakheti and Imereti regions will be prepared by Tourism Administration and Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Economy.

Representatives of Kakheti and Imereti municipalities are working on the new strategy with the international experts. T

he marketing campaign will be held in the target countries in order to popularize the tourism potential of the regions according to the project.

The project will unify public and private sectors, promoting tourism development at the local level.

According to project participant, Yanes Sirse, the aim of the project is to increase awareness of Imereti and Kakheti regions on the international tourism market:

”The main message about Kakheti will be wine and cultural and natural heritage -in case of Imereti. Our goal is to attract more tourists, promote economy and support the local population”, said Yanes Sirse. (
