Tbilisi’s one of well-known historical family house and hotel Museum celebrates its birthday

Hotel Museum Tbilisi hosted an event to celebrate its first birthday. This historically aristocratic family home in central Tbilisi built centuries ago was transformed into a new hotel last year.
The special event was named as “Talks in Museum”, which took place in a Café-Museum. The guests were provided with special wine, live music, and the presentation by Dato Turashvili about the hotel and its history.
Turashvili noted that this house was called the Museum of Love because of beautiful architecture and poetic soul of events arranged in the House. Today, renovated as a hotel it still maintains its beauty.
“The presentation of my book “Chadziruli Kalaki” will be held here. . . soon,” said Turashvili.
Many famous faces have attended this event, such as Ana Chiradze, Natia Parjanadze, Natia Buntari, Dato Turashvili, Sophie Villy.
Live Music was offered by Sophie Villy and her band. A singer, songwriter and composer Villy performs internationally in both Georgian and English and has composed soundtracks for feature films from Georgia, United States and France, one of which was selected for the Cannes Festival Short Film Palme d'Or competition in 2015. The theme won the Best Original Music at Spain's Euro Film Festival.
The hotel Museum is located on Orbeliani Street. This distinctive place, which was built three centuries ago used to belong to the noble family of the Orbeliani. A lot of well-known and successful people have visited Orbeliani’s house in XIX century.
This boutique style hotel includes forty-six rooms and three restaurants.
There is a wine restaurant “Sirajkhana” at the hotel where you can taste delicious Georgian and Persian dishes. The cuisine is authentic and brings us back to the past when the influence of the Persian gastronomy on the Georgian dishes was quite high.
There is a cozy, Asian-French style café –Museum with the beautiful green terrace located on the ground floor of the hotel. This French style glamour café will let you travel back to Paris of the forties and the sounds of jazz music will make your evening particularly special.
The hotel is located in the city center near the Freedom Square, Opera and Ballet Theatre as wells as the Rustaveli Theatre.
More than 8 million GEL (about $3.46 million) was invested in renovation of new 46-room hotel, which created 80 new jobs in the city since last year.
