New tree top walk to create awesome forest experience in Georgia’s national park

A path in the forest, an incredibly beautiful installation of the tree top walk will soon make its way through the trees up to the sun in Georgia’s Lagodekhi Protected Area.
Located in the country’s eastern Kakheti region the Lagodekhi Protected Area boasts rare and endangered species and now is engaged in a new project that will bring new life to the park.
As Georgia’s Agency of Protected Areas announced the arrangement of the tree top walk in Lagodekhi national park will be financed by Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and a German government-owned development bank KFW.
The tender has already been announced and interested parties should apply up until November 13, 2017.
The wooden construction of the tree top walk will be integrated into the forest and deliver a natural experience. It will lead visitors up to the crowns of the trees and will enable them to discover a unique forest of Lagodekhi national park from a different point of view.
Along the path various points of information regarding the Lagodekhi Protected Area as well as some adventure points will be installed.
The path will wind up to an impressive tree tower from where visitors will be able to enjoy an impressive view.
It has been announced that the tree top walk should serve about 60,000 – 100,000 visitors per year. (Agenda.ge)
