New pipeline to give gas connection to 11,000 families in mountainous Adjara

Villages in Georgia’s high mountainous region of Adjara will soon be supplied with natural gas thanks to a new gasification project launching today.
This afternoon the construction of the 65,162 kilometre gas pipeline will start in Adjara.
The works will be implemented by the company Energy Invest 2009.
The project is due to be completed by March 2019. Once the pipeline is operational it will be able to supply natural gas to three municipalities of Adjara – Khelvachauri, Keda and Shuakhevi.
The new pipeline will help to provide 11,000 families with natural gas in high mountainous villages of Adjara.
In total 25,850,000 GEL (about $10,448,749/ˆ8,879,331*) will be invested in the construction of the new pipeline in Adjara. (Agenda.ge)
