An exhibition entitled ‘Georgia-Cradle of Wine’ has held its closing ceremony in Bordeaux, France, with the participation of the Georgian musical group Basiani and the presentation of a documentary about Georgian wine.

Guests had an opportunity to taste Georgian wine during the event.

Georgia’s Ambassador to France, Eka Siradze-Delaunay, Georgian lawmakers and representatives from the country’s National Wine Agency also attended the occasion.

People were excited about the exhibition. The Wine Civilization World Centre is now preparing for new exhibitions and guests. The center director stated that it would be difficult to present such a high-level and interesting exhibition for other participants,” the ambassador said.

The Georgian exhibition opened on July 31 this year. On September 14, the center added a Georgian Qvevri at the entrance of its location as a permanent exposition.

The Qvevri was marked as world intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO in 2013. (agenda.ge)
