Tbilisi Electricity Tariffs to Increase from January 1

(TBILISI) – According to the decision of the Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission, electricity tariff will be increased by 1,5 tetri for Telasi subscribers from January 1, 2018. The relevant resolution was drafted at the sitting of the Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission today.
Currently, the electricity tariff in case of consuming less than 101 kilowatts is 12,980 tetri, from 101 to 301 kilowatts – 16,992 tetri, and more than 301 kilowatts – 21,476 tetri.
Apart from Tbilisi, electricity tariff has increased in the regions too. The Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission discussed the issue today and decided to increase electricity tariff for Energo-Pro Georgia customers from January 1, 2018.
In particular, the tariff will be increased by 1,28 tetri.
New tariffs will take effect on January 1 2018 and will be in force till the end of 2020.
Earlier today, it was announced that electricity tariff will be increased by 1,5 tetri for Tbilisi population January 1, 2018.
