Fire in Borjomi Forest
Fire, which broke out in the forest of Borjomi village Sakire at around 1am on Tuesday has been localized.
Around 60 firefighters were trying to localize the fire.
The Emergency Management Agency stated that there are no settlements and people are not in any danger.
The reason of the fire remains unknown.
The government of Georgia stated that about 200 hectares of forest was destroyed by fire in Borjomi last year. However, environmentalists and experts claim the burnt area exceeded 700 hectares.
Olympic Champion in Judo accuses Georgian Judo Federation President of misspending of funds
The Georgian Olympic champion, former Member of Parliament Zviad Zviadauri has accused Georgian Judo Federation President, Davit Kevkhishvili of misappropriation of the federation funds.
He stated that Kevkhishvili , with the name of the Judo Federation, signed a two-year contract with the gym that belongs to him.
Zviadauri stated that Georgian judokas train in the gym and the federation pays 80-90 GEL for the training of each sportsman.
