Georgia asks international observation missions to send observers for elections
Official Tbilisi asked international observation missions to send observers for the presidential elections, - Minister of Foreign Affairs Davit Zalkaliani said.
He said that "the government is ready to conduct these elections as democratically and exemplary as other elections in recent years."
"We are very open concerning the presidential election. We are ready to hold these elections democratically, transparently and in full accordance with international standards. We have already begun preparations for these elections. Therefore, we sent letters to all international organizations and OSCE/ODIHR mission long ago and asked them to send observers to Georgia. This year we will have an unprecedented number of short-term and long-term observers, and we will ensure that these elections are held just as exemplary as in 2013 and 2016, "Zalkaliani said. (IPN)
