Jazz & Wine Kakheti

"Jazz and Wine Kakheti" took place at "Lopota Lake Resort & Spa" hotel in Kakheti for the second time on September 21-23.

World-famous musicians, such as Dwayne Dopsie, Aglio Olio & Swing, Yessa, Bahama Soul Club, Judith Hill and others took part in the festival.

A number of events related to the wine theme were organized within the frames of the festival.

Georgian wine companies arranged wine tasting and with jazz music in the background, guests were able to taste different kinds of wine. Famous sommeliers introduced wine lovers about interesting facts and details about wine.

Guests of the festival were able to participate in harvesting the grapes, making Georgian delights Churchkhela and in winemaking with the famous musicians.

Within the frames of the festival, Italian Chef Shows also took place. Chefs were preparing traditional Italian Pasta.

Concert of Bahama Soul CLUB, featuring Olvido Ruiz took place on the Main Stage on September 22, followed by the performance of Judith Hill.

The Bahama Soul Club is a German-based group whose unique blend of soul, jazz, funk, blues, bossa nova, afro and Caribbean influences has firmly put them on the map of the black music scene as one of the most exciting contemporary outfits.

Judith Hill is an American singer-songwriter from Los Angeles, California. She has provided backing vocals for such artists as Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder and Josh Groban. In 2009, Hill was chosen as Jackson's duet partner for the song "I Just Can't Stop Loving You" during his "This Is It" concert tour.

Festival was organized by Easter Promotions and TBC Status.

Offering music since 1998, Eastern Promotion has promoted in the Caucasus region notable and highly acclaimed musicians including Ray Charles, James Brown, George Benson, Al Jarreau, Bobby McFerrin, Maceo Parker, The Manhattan Transfer, Take 6, Roy Ayers, Coolio, John McLaughlin, Joe Zawinul, Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, Gary Burton, Jamiroquai, Shakira, Joe Cocker and others.
