Social Impact Award International Summit

Impact Hub Tbilisi hosted International summit of Social Impact Award this year.

More than 150 young entrepreneurs arrived from 25 countries around the world within the framework of the summit.

The event was attended by the representatives of the Social Impact Award (SIA), Schwab Foundation, UNDP Georgia, representatives of the American, Austrian and Dutch Embassies and invited guests.

“It is the second year that Impact Hub Tbilisi has been implementing International Youth Program Social Impact Award, which involves 25 countries. More than 400 students have been involved in the program from different regions of Georgia for two years.

We have a special year because with the effort of the Impact Hub Tbilisi, Georgia has gained the license to host and organize the final event of the program - the International summit. We are proud to host so many interesting entrepreneurs from around the world,” said the co-founder of Impact Hub Tbilisi Ketevan Ebanoidze.

She also noted that 13 students had a chance to work on their startups with professional mentors.

“Georgia's Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA) is always ready to support initiatives and activities, which aim at developing a startup system in our country. Social Impact Award International summit, which is held with the support of GITA, was attended by more than two hundreds of young people. This is an opportunity to discuss new approaches to social entrepreneurship in our country, how innovative business can support social entrepreneurship development in Georgia and not only in Georgia,” said the head of the Georgian government's Innovation and Technology Agency Avtandil Kasradze.

SIA is an international program for students, who want to become producers. The program has been supporting professionals for implementing business ideas.
