Italian Cuisine Week - The Extraordinary Italian Taste

This year, Italian Cuisine Week in the World takes place from 19 to 25 November, aims to promote Italy’s food industry and the tradition of high-quality food and wine.
Over a thousand events are held worldwide, coordinated by the 296 diplomatic and consular headquarters and Italian cultural institutes.
Various events are takings place within the week in Georgia as well, initiated and organized by the Embassy of Italy in Georgia.
Seminars and conferences, meetings with chefs, food tasting events and gala dinners, commercial promotion events and cooking courses are only a few of the activities planned.
The week started at the restaurant "Pomodorissimo" on November 19.
Ambassador of Italy to Georgia, HE Antonio Enrico Bartoli welcomed guests, opened the ceremony and delivered a speech.
He thanked Pomodorissimo and Italian Trade Agency for planning and organizing the event, as well as creating an authentic Italian environment and atmosphere.
He also noted that various stores, markets and restaurants are involved in the campaign and they will have special offers and sales on certain Italian products. Illy Cafe and Iota Hotel are also involved in the campaign.
On November 22, the guests of the event will have a rare chance to taste gourmet dishes prepared by Michelin-starred Chef, Marco Colleoni at “Republic”.
It is worth mentioning that chef Keti Bakradze’s restaurant "Mamma Mia" will open on November 25.
Dante Alighieri Society of Georgia is organizing an evening dedicated to the compositions of Gioachino Rossini on November 28.
The Italian Trade Agency-ICE is the Government agency that supports the globalization of Italian firms, help to develop, facilitate and promote Italian economic and trade relations with foreign countries. It works closely with the Italian Regions, the network of the Italian Chambers of Commerce, business organizations and other public and private entities.
