American Friendship Club in Georgia organized a Christmas party at the Biltmore Hotel with the participation of the children of military warriors and policemen who died during the aggression of the Russian Federation towards Georgia in 2008 and their families. The president of the American Friendship Club Ilia Zukakishvili welcomed the event. He thanked the children of the warriors for attending the party and congratulated them with the New Year.

"Today, I am especially proud that I talk to you and have the opportunity to personally congratulate you with Christmas and the New Year of 2019. I wish you lots of love and that you grow up in free, proud, just and rigorous Georgia where you will have respective ground for demonstrating your talent and no fear in the future. For this new year of 2019, I wish you all happiness, success, abundance, fortune, joy, prosperity and longevity.

Therefore, for the new year I wish myself spiritual calmness and living in such a country where everyone from the president to a simple public servant demonstrated to whole Georgia with his/her work and behavior that the memory of the soldiers and policemen of the armed forces of Georgia who died while defending territorial integrity of the country, first and foremost, deserves special, worthy and modest respect. I would like to see my country serve the people and not governments, heroes and not traitors.

10 years have passed since the unprecedented military aggression against Georgia in 2008. These days we have to think about how to protect our country in the future from another provocation of military aggression from Kremlin".

Head of the American company KVG, Lasha Tsereteli cordially thanked the president of the American Friendship Club Ilia Zukakisvhili for offering the company to take part in implementing the charity event together with the creative group of the club and made a contribution to commemorating the names of hero soldiers of Georgia.

The New Year party was supported by Biltmore Hotel, company KVG, the pharmaceutical company “Aversi”, the optical company “Roniko”, Coca Cola Bottlers Georgia, McDonald’s and State Service of Veterans of Georgia.

The American Friendship Club expresses gratitude to all partner organizations who made their respective contribution in implementing this initiative.
