Mobile Operators “Magticom” and “Geocell” to increase prices starting March 1

The company Silknet which purchased “Geocell” states that the prices of “METI” package offering local calls, SMS and internet data will be increased. Meti S will cost 7 GEL, instead of the current 5 GEL, Meti M – 15 GEL, instead of the current 10 GEL and the price of Meti Unlimited package will be increased by 5 GEL from the current 25 GEL to 30 GEL.

MagtiCom company, starting from February 18, will replace “Martivi 25” package with “Martivi” package and the price will be 30 GEL instead of the current 25 GEL. The consumers will get 500 MB more internet data, in overall 1 500 MB internet instead of 1 000 MB within the “Martivi” package.



Smart Cameras detect 6654 uninspected vehicles since launching on January 14

A total of 6654 penalties were imposed for owners whose vehicles have not gone under a technical inspection since the launch of Smart Cameras on January 14 states Beka Liluashvili, Head of the Analytics and Reforms Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

He explained that police crews fined 2404 citizens from January 1-14 and the number slightly increased after smart cameras started detecting uninspected vehicles with imposing 6654 fines in overall in only four days.

Driving a vehicle which has not gone under the technical inspection is a violation of the law and fined with 50 GEL.
