Eka Beselia - If the majority doesn’t change Irakli Kobakhidze in time, we are going to do it

If the majority doesn’t change Irakli Kobakhidze in time, we are going to act in order to gain results - stated MP Eka Beselia. According to her, Kobakhidze has no authority to be on his position.

As Beselia says “Kobakhidze’s group” is already past.

“A so-called Kobakhidze’s group is already in the past. It’s a matter of time. I also assure you that if the chairman of the parliament, who, unfortunately, disappointed our hopes and expectations and couldn’t cope with his role and position doesn’t change in time and if there is no one to decide and allow Parliament to continue functioning properly, then we will ensure that Mr. Kobakhidze will change and it will happen as soon as possible.

That’s why the majority should make this decision promptly and I think it will happen so, as the chairperson of the parliament does not have the authority and trust that is required to be working on this position. Either they do it, or we will, so the result comes, ”Beselia said.

Recently Beselia made the decision to leave the ruling team after the Parliament of Georgia voted against the bill on common courts signed by her and eight other lawmakers.

MP Eka Beselia was the first to quit the ruling party. She was followed by MPs Levan Gogichaishvili, Beka Natsvlishvili, Gedevan Popkhadze and Zviad Kvachantiradze.
