Estonian school in Tbilisi
Educational cooperation between Georgia and Estonia was discussed by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Education and Research of Estonia, Mart Laidmets, and Georgian Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, Irina Abuladze, in Tbilisi. They talked about the possibility of establishing Estonian school in Georgia.
"Leaders of the project plan to work closely with representatives of the state of Georgia, as well as local municipalities without local support, founding a school abroad is impossible. Additionally, cooperation with other private schools in Tbilisi is promoted, said Laidmets.
According to the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Education, it is important that the actions are taken today, even if the outcome becomes evident in the future.
In any case, I am very glad that our experience is valued elsewhere this proves the quality of our educational staff but also encourages us all to work even harder in the future, noted Laidmets.
Georgian Defense Forces receive new trucks from Germany
Within the initiative of strengthening the partner countries of Germany, the Georgian military will receive MAN trucks with a total worth of 1.5 million euros.
A contract was signed between the Federal Ministry of Defense of Germany and the Ministry of Defense of Georgia in early May.
The vehicles will be delivered to Georgia by mid-December of this year. The project aims to optimize the transportability of Georgia's defense forces.
MIA statement regarding the by-elections 2019
The statement published by the Ministry of Internal Affairs on May 19, says that during the by-elections, the main goal of Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) is to ensure public order and conduction of elections in a free, democratic and safe environment.
Because of this, the Ministry allocated police forces in regions, as well as in Tbilisi. Police officers will do their job to ensure safe, democratic, and free elections.
We appeal everyone, to observe the law to maintain a peaceful electoral environment, which will allow every citizen to make a choice freely. The Ministry of Internal Affairs, within its competencies, will respond to any incident in compliance with the legislation of Georgia. Each case of breaking law will be immediately precluded, reads the statement released by MIA.
