The Independence Day of Georgia celebrated around the world
The Independence Day of Georgia was celebrated in several cities around the world. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the day was celebrated in the following countries: Turkey, Ireland, Germany, Denmark, Belgium, Hungary, Moldova, Israel, Brazil, Argentina, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Latvia, Sweden, the United States, Malaysia, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Slovenia, France, Ukraine, Lietuva.
In Belgium, the main symbol of Brussels was presented in the Georgian national costume for the Independence Day of Georgia.
Manneken Pis is the best-known symbol of the people of Brussels. It also embodies their sense of humour and their independence of mind.

The President of Georgia met with the Chairman of the Georgian Bar Association
President of Georgia, Salome Zourabichvili met with the Chairman of the Georgian Bar Association, David Asatiani.
During the meeting, The President of Georgia and the Chairman of the Association talked about the ongoing processes in the judiciary system, including the legislative initiatives in the fourth wave of justice system reform.
“Discussions also focused on the recent initiatives and activities implemented by the Bar Association in strengthening the legal profession, as well as activities related to the Anniversary of Independence of Georgia,” says the information published by the Georgian Bar Association.
Gakharia on Davit Gareja: We will do everything to have an acceptable result
The Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Giorgi Gakharia, who was attending a celebration dedicated to May 26 in Zugdidi, said that they are doing everything for the best outcome for both parties, regarding the border issue with neighboring Azerbaijan.
“We plan to carry out the measures that are necessary and what is called inter-state communication, communicate at the commission level within the frameworks of delimitation and demarcation of the border. Of course, we are committed and will do everything to make sure that the results of this commission and the negotiations are acceptable for our cultural heritage and the church.”
The Georgian-Azerbaijani commission is tasked with border delimitation between the two countries.
