First charter flight from Tallinn to Batumi
The first charter flight from Tallinn to Batumi took place. Tinatin Zoidze, Chairman of the Tourism Department of Adjara, met with the first passengers arriving from the capital of Estonia. The folklore shows and Georgian wine tasting was held at the airport for the passengers.
180 tourists visited Batumi from Estonia, 90% of which are planning a stay in the region for a week. Smartlynx Airlines will operate flights once a week by Airbus A320.
Other than Tallinn, charter flights this year also be performed from Vilnius.
President awards health professionals with Medals of Dignity
The President of Georgia, Salome Zourabichvili, awarded doctors, who were on duty during the protest of June 20-21, with Medals of Dignity.
Mariam Golovachova, Surgeon-Ophthalmologist of New Hospital, Revaz Omiadze, Surgeon-Ophthalmologist of Regional Hospital, Maka Gvaramia, Director of Tbilisi First Medical Aid Center and Solomon Rostomashvili, Deputy Director of Tbilisi First Medical Aid Center were among those who received the medals.
The awarding ceremony at the Presidential Palace was also attended by the Deputy Mayor of Tbilisi, Irakli Khmaladze.
235 employees of Tbilisi First Medical Aid Center will also receive monetary rewards.
Intergovernmental Commission Meeting of Armenia-Georgia Economic Cooperation is held in Yerevan
The 10th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Armenia and Georgia is held in Yerevan. The Georgian delegation is led by the Vice Premier and the Minister of Infrastructure Maia Tskitishvili.
During the meeting, it was noted that economic relations between the two countries are dynamically developing, including trade and tourism sectors.
According to the local media, Tskitishvili invited representatives of the Armenian Government to the Eastern Partnership forum in Batumi. She also thanked them for their position on important issues for Georgia at the international forums.
