Graphic Novel from Davit Machavariani

The joint project, presented by Georgian Museum of Fine Arts, Sulakauri Publishing and Davit Machavariani, will be exhibited on July 10.
The museum's temporary hall will host the artist's solo show and the presentation of the graphic novel.
The graphic novel has been created in the course of three years.
Apart from the 222-page sketchbook, the exposition displays other works by Machavariani throughput last ten years.
The visitors will have an opportunity to buy the limited copies of inaugural editions.
The exhibition will take place at the Georgian Museum of Fine Arts.
Davit Machavariani has also designed a jewelry collection for Zarapkhana showcased at the same museum.
Machavariani has had a various group and solo exhibitions both locally and abroad.
Born in 1976, Machavariani studied animation and ceramics at Tbilisi State Academy of Fine Arts.
Afterwards, he left for the US and collaborated with Synetic Theatre.
DC comics editor Dan Raspler has profoundly influenced the artist's creative formation.
The Knight in the Panther's Skin is a Georgian medieval epic poem, written in the 12th century by Georgia's national poet Shota Rustaveli.
The event will celebrate the 20th anniversary of Sulakauri Publishing.
Sulakauri Publishing, one of the market leaders, was established in 1999 and today, it publishes up to 200 books a year. From a small home publishing business, it turned into a leading company of Georgian publishing industry.
The exhibition closes on July 17.
