Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, is considered as one of the fascinating cities for tourists.
With more and more tourists in Tbilisi, several exciting activities take place in the capital every day.
Tbilisi is the largest city in Georgia, located on both sides of the Mtkvari River, with a population of roughly 1.5 million inhabitants.
Even though July-August is considered as very popular vacation time frame, it is not easy or possible for everyone to take time off work during the summer heat.
One can discover the hidden beauty of Tbilisi with its narrow streets and beautiful views in the evening when the weather cools down.
If you want to experience some awesome views and find yourself at the top of the city, you should visit Mtatsminda Amusement Park. It’s a trendy spot for locals with children, not only tourists. Getting there is rather easy by the funicular from Old Town up to the top. It is also accessible by public transportation, mainly buses.
The restaurant, a three-story building, was built from 1936-1938, is a very famous spot. Each floor varies by cuisine, occasions, price, etc.
For jazz music lovers: Every Tuesday, Jam Session takes place at Movement theatre, where young musicians offer various improvisations. Jam sessions usually feature special guests. With an outstanding atmosphere of the theatre, guests can enjoy authentic improvisation of jazz music in the heart of Mushtaidi Garden.
The Movement Theatre was founded in 2001 by Kakha Bakuradze - (Director and Actor) and represents the synthesis of drama, pantomime, movement and physical theatre, ballet, martial and circus arts, folklore, contemporary music, live music, tango evenings, jazz evenings, comedian, illusion, extreme shows, open-air and indoor performances.
For lovers of adrenaline: The zip line goes from the Narikala fortress to the Botanical Garden of Tbilisi. The distance between stations is 270 meters, and it takes only 30 seconds to slide down the wire. If you take the zip line, you’ll be able to see the Botanical Garden from 30 meters height. The zip line costs around 30 GEL.
It is also very important to know which cafes to visit in Tbilisi in very hot weather. While everyone is trying to escape to the mountains or the Black Sea, there are some spots in the capital, offering a cozy and chilly atmosphere in the evenings with the view of Tbilisi.
The concept of home-style and well- decorated cafes has become even more popular recently.
Amodi is the perfect place for the hot summer nights with a stunning view of the whole city. Amodi offers excellent cocktails, a good beer at a reasonable price, and amazing burgers and grills. This place sometimes offers live music, which creates a great environment to hang out with a group of friends. To get there, one needs to take the direction of Old Town, walk on Betlemi Street and look up to the right side. The house full of lights and a big terrace is the place you need.
The to-do-list is vast and changeable. The Messenger will offer another set of events and destinations in the nearest future.
