Gori Young Diplomats’ Club

Gori Young Diplomat’s Club, which is a project implemented by Association “Nakvalevi” took place in July. The project was also supported and implemented in partnership with Gori City Hall “Education Promotion and Co-financing Program.”
The target audiences of the training were young people between 15-23, living in Shida Kartli region; among them IDPs who are interested in International Relations.
“Training courses will be interactive and based on “learning by doing” approach. All inputs of trainers will be backed up by practical exercises. Active citizenship element will promote active citizenship among young people and enhance their motivation to participate in public life actively. Volunteering as one of the pillars of active citizenship will be brought under the special focus,” reads the description of the project.
Diplomacy block consisted of lectures and seminars on diplomacy, intercultural learning, and etiquette.
“Within the frames of the project, the children had a chance to meet the representatives of Embassies and diplomatic corps. We have also visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, held training, etc.,” said Tamar Gogatishvili, the head of the Association “Nakvalevi.”
Association “Nakvalevi” was established on in 2011. It gathers young people (trainers, facilitators) around an idea to contribute to democracy building through helping the young generation to better their skills and encourage them to be tolerant and equal to everyone.
The mission of the association is to encourage the young generation and help them understand the importance of being a part of the world. Our value is to accommodate and exercise differences as human beings. Our strategy is to provide life knowledge and life learning skills through various friendship activities.
