Health Minister meets with Ambassador of Germany

Ekaterine Tikaradze, the Minister of Internally Displaced Persons, Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia met with the Ambassador of Germany to Georgia H.E. Hubert Knirsch.

At the meeting, the sides discussed joint projects of the Ministry of Health and Germany, as well as the activities carried out by the Ministry with the support of Germany.

The Minister emphasized the IDP issues, in particular implementing the large-scale infrastructural projects for IDPs, which are supported by the German Development Bank.

Minister also talked about the healthcare system of Georgia and the further developments of the sector. As the Ambassador noted, Tikaradze’s working experience in Germany will be helpful while reforming the healthcare system in Georgia.



American Diplomat, Jason Kalbfleisch, joins ‘Spend Your Summer in Georgia’ campaign

As the American Diplomat, Jason Kalbfleisch writes in a letter published by the US Embassy on their official Facebook Page; western Georgia is the best place for fly fishing.

“As a Foreign Service Officer and former adventure guide in Alaska, I have had amazing fishing experiences all over the world. Fly fishing in Western Georgia (a fisherman never tells exactly where) is as good as it gets,” writes Kalbfleisch.

He also writes about Georgian nature and the hospitality of people. “I caught and released over 35 trout in three days of fishing, and I cannot wait to return to catch them again and again,” read the letter of the diplomat.



Fuel price increases at majority of Petrol Stations

The fuel price has increased by 0. 05 GEL at the majority of Petrol Stations across Georgia.

The price for 1 liter of regular type petrol at Gulf network is 2. 54, at Socar Petroleum Georgia – 2.53 GEL, Rompetrol – 2.54 GEL, Wissol – 2. 59 GEL.

The main reasons for the increase are depreciation of the national currency and increased prices on the international market.
