In the last 27 years, Georgian-American cooperation went through a significant path which led both countries to the history of a strong friendship.
American Friends of Georgia Club was established to strengthen the 27-year Georgian-American Friendship, and it serves the “purpose to support US popularization in Georgia” and get the society further introduced to “all spheres of American life: history, politics, society, economy, spiritual and material culture.”
The President of the American Friendship Club Ilia Zukakishvili noted that in the period before 2019, the club team carried out “educational, cognitive, cultural, sport and charity projects.”
“It is of priority to the club to assess support of Georgia on behalf of the United States since I consider that this country has a special contribution to strengthening the Georgian state and this process will never be terminated by anyone. Since the American Friends of Georgia Club was established in 2005, we have been actively trying to reinvigorate Georgian-American friendship in all directions,” he said.
Ilia also discussed the US Independence Day celebration by the club together with American friends at Hotel Folk.
The next event of the American Friends of Georgia is planned on September 11, which “will be dedicated to world peace.”
