Oncologist from Europe to hold consultations in Tbilisi
Georgian oncologist working in Denmark will visit Georgia on September 23-24-25 at the invitation of Evex Hospitals. Zaza Ujmajuridze will hold consultations for cancer patients.
Consultations for patients will be held in the regional hospital in Tbilisi.
Pre-registration (2550505) is required for consultation, and patients should send their research responses to the e-mail address zaza.ujmajuridze@evex.ge before visiting the doctor. Zaza Ujmajuridze, a Europe-based oncologist, will review each medical history before consulting, allowing him to spend more time interviewing patients.

‘Joint Action for Women’s Economic Empowerment’ project continues trainings and meetings in Georgian villages
As a part of another UN Women-supported initiative, the director of HR and Organizational Development of the company Orient Logic, Otar Tabatadze, conducted trainings in Tsageri, Lechkhumi municipality and Oni municipality, Racha, for socially mobilized and entrepreneur women on how to improve employment skills.
The trainings aim at implementing the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) action plan which Orient Logic developed in the frameworks of the project ‘Joint Action for Women’s Economic Empowerment’, funded by the Government of Norway.
As a part of the project, representatives of local government and self-government of the Tsageri and Oni Municipality held meetings on Gender Responsive Budgeting (GRB).
The meetings were attended by the Chairs of relevant Sakrebulo and members of the Gender Equality Council. The meetings are a part of the Taso Foundation component of the project ‘Joint Action for Women’s Economic Empowerment’.
TASO Foundation (TF) is the national women’s fund transformed from the Women's Program of Open Society Georgia Foundation (1998-2006). Since yearly 2007 TF operates independently with the mission Women’s and Girls’ Empowerment for Human Rights, Equality, Social Justice and Peace in Georgia.
