Chamber Orchestra of La Scala Opera Theater in Tbilisi

Jansug Kakhidze Tbilisi Center for Music & Culture will host world-famous Chamber Orchestra of La Scala Opera Theater on October 3.
The concert will take place within the frames of the 27th International Music Festival “Autumn Tbilisi.”
International music festival "Autumn Tbilisi" was founded in 1993 by Djansug Kakhidze Tbilisi Center for Music & Culture, Tbilisi Symphony Orchestra, and Tbilisi Municipality. The program of the festival is very diverse and combines concerts of classical music, jazz, and folk.
The chamber orchestra of Cameristi Della Scala was founded in 1982 and is formed by musicians from the Orchestra of Teatro Alla Scala. Cameristi Della Scala has performed concerts in the most prestigious theaters and concert halls in the world.
The orchestra performs in prestigious venues and concert halls throughout the world with well-known instrumentalists and opera singers. Their concert in Tbilisi will be conducted by maestro Vakhtang Kakhidze. The soloist will be violist Simonide Braconi.
Born in Rome, Braconi graduated with First Class Honours from the Santa Cecilia Conservatorium of Rome. Winner of several competitions, prized in the 1994 Lionel Tertis Competition, he got in 1995 a special prize from the Kulturkreis der Deutschen Wirtschaft in Koln. As a soloist and chamber musician, he has recorded for Vigiesse, Thymallus, Agora, Tudor, Dad, Rhona, Stradivarius, Dynamic, for Italian Radio 3.
The program includes works by A. Vivaldi, E. Grieg, M. Bruch, K.Penderecki and V.Kakhidze.
The venue of International Music Festival "Autumn Tbilisi" is the concert hall of Djansug Kakhidze Center for Music & Culture, which is one of the main concert organizations of Georgia.
The event is supported by the Embassy of Italy in Georgia, Restaurant "Mukhambazi" and Hotel "City Avenue.”
