Tsinandali Festival 2019

Tsinandali Festival, a classical music celebration will take place this September in the heart of Kakheti.
The festival will take place from September 8 until September 22, featuring legendary conductors virtuoso soloists, featuring Gianandrea Noseda, Yuja Wang, Fazil Say, Juka-Pekka Saeaste, Thomas Hampson, Edgar Moreau, Lahav Shani, George Li, Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra, etc.
The Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra, which comprises alumni musicians from the Verbier Festival Orchestra was founded in 2005.
Born in 1994 in Paris, Edgar Moreau began playing the cello at the age of four and the piano at six. He studied with Philippe Muller at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris and studied with Frans Helmerson at the Kronberg Academy from 2013 to 2015.
Gianandrea Noseda is one of the world’s most sought-after conductors, equally recognized for his artistry in both the concert hall and opera house. He was named the National Symphony Orchestra’s seventh music director in January 2016.
Outstanding venues of Tsinandali estate comprise 600-seat Chamber Music Hall and a 1200-seat Amphitheatre of state of the art acoustics and architecture.
The festival was founded by the government of Georgia, a major Georgian company Silk Road Group and the founders of Verbier Festival.
The festival encompasses the establishment of Music Academy and Pan Caucasian Youth Orchestra.
The PCYO will be the leading training orchestra for talented young musicians of the following countries: Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkey and Ukraine
"2019 is the year of the creation of the Pan Caucasian Youth Orchestra, a full symphony orchestra led by Music Director Gianandrea Noseda. The orchestra will be resident at the Tsinandali Festival in Georgia from its first edition in September 2019. You should apply if you are between 18 and 28 years old, with some experience in orchestra playing and born in Georgia or one of the other countries of the region. If you are selected, you will be invited to perform for 5 weeks in an intense orchestra training program. Georgia is an exciting country full of beauty and culture.
The Tsinandali Estate, situated in the magnificent Kakheti region, has now been developed into a Cultural Center with two concert halls, museums, hotels, restaurants, all in the midst of a big beautiful park.
The Tsinandali Estate will hold the Tsinandali Festival, with two concerts per day, many international artists, a full-fledged academy, the residency of the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra in addition to the Pan Caucasian Youth Orchestra," said Martin Engstroem, co-founder of Verbier Festival.
The first concert of September 8 will feature Ying Fang Soprano, Ketevan Kemoklidze, Gianandrea Nosedra, and Gustav Mahler.
The pieces by Rachmaninoff, Brahms, Shostakovich, and others will be performed throughout the festival.
