Tsinandali Festival, promoting the language of music in the region, in collaboration with the Georgian government and generous private donors established the Tsinandali Festival at the historic Tsinandali Estate located in the heart of the Georgian region of Kakheti.

This year, the festival is taking place during September 8-22, 2019 featuring legendary conductors and virtuoso soloists, including Gianandrea Noseda, Jukka-Pekka Saraste, Andras Schiff, Yuja Wang, Faz?l Say, Lisa Batiashvili, Thomas Hampson, Gautier Capucon, Renaud Capucon, Official: Mischa Maisky, Pinchas Zukerman: Viola, Edgar Moreau, Lahav Shani, George Li, Omer Meir Wellber, Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra and many others.

The musical director of the festival is maestro Gianandrea Noseda, today’s one of the most famous and prominent conductors. Since 2017, Noseda has served as Music Director of the National Symphony Orchestra in Washington, DC. He is Principal Guest Conductor of the London Symphony Orchestra and the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, Principal Conductor of the Orquesta de Cadaques, and Artistic Director of the Stresa Festival in Stresa, Italy.

In the frame of the festival musical academy was founded, hosting young musicians every year. Talented young artists were selected during auditions led in 6 countries. The orchestra will be granted the status of the main orchestra of Tsinandali Festival. PAN-Caucasian youth orchestra (PCYO ) was created as a result.

The audience has a chance to attend Day and Evening concerts at the magnificent venues of Tsinandali Estate: a 600-seat Chamber Music Hall and a 1200-seat Amphitheatre of the state-of-the-art acoustics and architecture.

On September 5, the event took place in Tsinandali, which was attended by Deputy Minister of Sport and Culture, Levan Kharatishvili, governor of Kakheti region, Irakli Kadagishvili, general director of Tsinandali Festival, David Sakvarelidze, assistant to music director of the festival, Claudio Vandelly and heads of Silk Road Group Real Estate and Hospitality, George Marr and Jordi Kuijt.

The importance of the Tsinandali Festival, its educational part and the new hotel, specially built for the festival were discussed within the frames of the event.

Founder of Silk Road Group and founder of Tsinandali Festival, George Ramishvili spoke about the importance of this place during the presentation of the hotel.

“Park Hotel” was built especially for young musicians. The very first guests are members of Pan Caucasian Youth Music Orchestra, who had been selected for this festival by the international jury during auditions held in 6 countries. The first floor of the hotel is dedicated to rehearsal rooms, fully equipped with musical instruments. Actually, this is an educational institution, which was initially planned, as one of the integral parts of the festival concept. Thus, the educational side is a very important part of the festival. There are rehearsals and masterclasses already ongoing for the young performers in the rehearsal area of the hotel”, he said.

From August 16 to September 23, 2019, the Festival Hotel is the venue where PCYO and TFA young musicians will be trained and taught by specially invited world-leading orchestra coaches and professors, respectively.

The International Classical Music Festival will be held in September every year. Tsinandali Festival is intended to be staged in the unique environment of Tsinandali. The contribution of the Chavchavadze family to the Georgian culture is truly important.

The main sponsor and presenter of Tsinandali Festival is Silknet, one of Georgia’s biggest telco operators and part of Silk Road Group.
