The Managing Director of Czech Company, Holistic Solutions, Jaromir Novak visited Georgia within the frame of the project Energy Efficient Technologies for Rural Development, which is being implemented in collaboration with CARE Czech, Agricultural Cooperatives Fund, Rural Communities Development Agency (RCDA).

The goal of the visit was to discuss with different stakeholders current state of biomass technology in Georgia and identify opportunities of cooperation among Georgian and Czech biomass technology producers.

During the visit, the meetings were organized with the representatives of the Czech Embassy, Czech Development Cooperation, UNDP, Academy of Sciences and the representatives of state and non-state agencies, businesses engaged in developing biomass technologies.

The project team together with the technical experts visited a number of enterprises in Kakheti (Akhmeta Municipality) and Samegrelo Zemo Svaneti (Khobi Municipality), producing Fire Wood Stoves (FWS), charcoal, fuel briquettes from biomass residues and demonstration models of farms and enterprises utilizing locally existing renewable energy resources developed by RCDA.
