Tbilisi Book Days

Book enthusiasts in Tbilisi can get an impression of some of the latest translations and new books.

Tbilisi Book Days will take place at Exhibition Center Georgia (Expo Georgia 11th pavilion) from November 28 to December 1.

The Tbilisi Book Days is a joint project of the Book Art Center Tbilisi and Expo Georgia.

New translations, the bestsellers of the year and children's literature will be available within the frames of the event.

Various interesting activities are planned, including workshops and presentations by Georgian writers, translators, and publishers with interesting programs.

Many exhibitors will present here the largest selection of books and literature to interested visitors can get information and customers here in detail and fully informed of the latest trends and products in the industry.

Attendance at the book fair will cost 2 GEL, but it is free for students and schoolchildren.

The Book Days are organized in order to promote book reading in Georgia, to establish new contacts, regionalize and develop the book market in general.

Tbilisi Book Days is to become the leading international book fair and most respected cultural event in Georgia. The product range of the fair being organized within the scope of Tbilisi Book Days will unite publishers, authors, illustrators, literary agents, printers, booksellers, librarians, stationery resellers and producers, along with service companies connected.

“Our motivation while organizing the event was to turn it into a working lab for further development of the Georgian book sector. All components of the festival are intended as ignition points for further projects, for joint programs of national, regional and international cooperation. We want to create an open platform that shall unite the efforts of all creative, state, non-government, international and commercial players within and around the Georgian book sector, and to contribute to its international integration,” reads the description of Tbilisi Book Days 2019.

Generally, the book fairs being held at Expo Georgia are visited estimated by 14,000 retail customers, which results in an increase in sales.
