Exhibition - “Ceramic museum”

Georgian National Museum presents the exhibition "Museum of Ceramics" at the Simon Janashia Museum of Georgia.
The main idea of the exhibition is to guide the visitor through the history of ceramic works and to feature the concept of creating a Museum of Ceramics in the museum space.
Eight artists united around the idea of creating a museum of ceramics tell stories about ceramics - about its history, its material properties and potential, evolution or transformation of their work.
Participants include Malkhaz Shvelidze, Nato Eristavi, Lia Bagrationi, Gigisha Pachkoria, Lali Kutateladze, Otar Vepkhvadze, Merab Gugunashvili, Ilia Biganashvili.
The exhibition also showcases works from the Georgian National Museum collections: ceramics of the Middle Ages of Dmanisi and the work by Alde Kakabadze named “Marani - Georgia.”
The exhibition is supported by Tbilisi City Hall.
