Archil Talakvadze Visits St. David the Builder Temple in Pennsylvania
The Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, Archil Talakvadze, visited the Georgian Church of St. David the Builder in the framework of his visit to the United States.
According to the press service of the Parliament of Georgia, Archil Talakvadze attended the liturgy together with the members of the delegation and representatives of the Georgian diaspora, addressed the churchgoers and congratulated them on the Day of David.
During his working visit to the United States, the Speaker of Parliament had high-level meetings with members of the Senate and Congress. Meetings were also held at the State Department.
Georgian citizens undergo special health inspection as they return from China
Three citizens of Georgia were transported to Tbilisi from the Chinese city of Yangzhou at their request. They passed a special inspection for Coronavirus at Tbilisi International Airport.
According to Tamar Archuadze, Director of Airports Union, the passengers have already completed all the necessary quarantine procedures. Citizens flew through Dubai, where they also went through the quarantine procedures. At this stage, all three of the citizens returning from China are healthy, have no symptoms and are free to go home.
“We confirm that all three passengers returned to Georgia safely. We received information from the Chinese Embassy in Georgia that Georgian citizens wanted to return, and this information was forwarded to the Coordination Council, after which the Airports Union organized it. Passengers have already completed all required quarantine procedures, and they underwent quarantine procedures before the flight as well. They are currently receiving advice on what should happen when they return home. At this stage they are healthy and they have no symptoms and will return home,” said Archuadze.
To prevent the spread of coronavirus in Georgia, direct flights with China were temporarily suspended on January 29. More than 37,000 people have been infected in China and abroad due to the spread of the Coronavirus and 813 people have died.
