41 Years After the Victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran
Tuesday, February 11
On 11th February this year, many Iranians across the country and the globe celebrate the 41st Anniversary of the Victory of the Islamic Revolution that overthrew the last monarch of Iran, Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi.
During the past 41 years, Iran has been unique in its success and indivisible unity of purpose despite numerous sabotaging attempts and overwhelming pressures by external and internal actors. The Islamic Republic of Iran has maintained an independent geopolitical course and been able to gain valuable achievements in various fields of politics, economy, science, military and culture.
In this regard, Iran has successfully researched and developed sophisticated and advanced technologies including Nano technology, biotechnology, aerospace and renewable energy technology.
In recent years, Iranian military experts and technicians have made great headways in manufacturing a broad range of indigenous equipment, making the armed forces self-sufficient in the arms sphere. Different types of missiles, drones, radar systems and tanks are all part of military equipment made by the Iranian engineers.
Tehran maintains that its military might poses no threat to regional countries, stressing that the Islamic Republic’s defense doctrine is entirely based on deterrence. Recently, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif called on all Persian Gulf countries to contribute to the implementation of the Hormuz Peace Endeavour (HOPE), an initiative for regional peace and stability.
Standing on the frontline, Iran has played a crucial role in the fighting against terrorism, ISIS and drug trafficking in recent years. Commander of Quds Force Major General Qasem Soleimani being assassinated by the US government was one of the prominent figures who put much effort into it.
Despite unfair maximum pressure against the country, Iran will continue its independent line to achieving the goals of Islamic revolution and progress in any field for the honor and the prosperity of Iranian people. Indeed, the independence is the greatest achievement gained during 41 years after the Islamic Revolution of Iran.
